Introduction

Cultural Affairs Bureau cancels various shows and events

In order to centralize the resources for carrying post-typhoon assistance and repair damaged cultural facilities, the Cultural Affairs Bureau is cancelling several performances and events and will refund the respective tickets. The Bureau apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
The performances “The Bridge - Yan Huichang and the Macao Chinese Orchestra” scheduled for 1 September, “Kyung Wha Chung and the Macao Orchestra” scheduled for 2 September and the ballet “Haojiang Moonlight Night – Opera Warriors” scheduled for 15 and 16 September, will be cancelled; while the free concert “Flourishing Arts” scheduled for 8 September will be postponed until further notice.
Spectators with tickets for the above mentioned shows may return the tickets to Macau Ticketing Network outlets from 30 August to 30 September. For enquiries, please contact the Macau Ticketing Network through tel. 2855 5555, during office hours.

• The following discounts are not applicable to the Macao Chinese Orchestra’s performances at the 31st Macao International Music Festival and the 29th Macao Arts Festival (Please refer to the festivals’ websites for detailed information).

50% discount for:
• Holders of valid full-time Student Card * (including Macao residents with valid full-time Student Cards issued abroad and holders of valid Macao full-time Student Cards);
• Holders of valid Macao Senior Citizen Card* or Disability Assessment Registration Card*.

40% discount for:
• Holders of valid Macao Chinese Orchestra membership card.
• Purchase of 10 tickets for the same concert (including tickets of different prices);

20% discount for:
• Holders of valid Teacher Card*;
• Holders of BOC Credit Cards# or BOC Cards purchasing any number of tickets for non-special programmes;
• Holders of ICBC Macau, OCBC Wing Hang, BCM Bank’s Visa / MasterCard / UnionPay cards purchasing any number of tickets.
• Air Macau boarding pass (flight code NX) with destination identified as Macao (MFM) is valid for 7 days after flight departure for the purchase of any number of concert tickets.

Free Tickets
Tickets for free admission concerts may be obtained at the concert venue one hour before the performance begins.

Information to the public:
• The Organizer strongly advises audience members to arrive 10 minutes in advance to all Orchestra events. The Organizer reserves the right to determine the time at which and the manner in which latecomers are to be admitted ;
•T o avoid undue disturbances to the performers and other members of the audience, please silence all beeping devices and mobile phones before the performance, keep silent and remain seated throughout the performance;
• Smoking, eating and drinking are prohibited inside the performance venues, as is the possession of plastic bags or objects considered dangerous;
• Cameras and recording devices are strictly prohibited, unless expressly authorized by the Organizer;
• Tickets must be displayed when entering the venue. Each ticket admits one person only;
• Children under the aged of 6 are not admitted;
• The Organizer reserves the right to change the programmes and/ or performers at any time.


Disability Services:
The Macao Chinese Orchestra provides special services for members of the audience with disabilities. Please approach the Macao Chinese Orchestra front-of-house staff upon arrival (preferably 15 minutes prior to the concert) for assistance with seat allocation and wheelchair placement.
