Introduction

Young movie trails

Cinema is still that amazing place where imagination runs wild and possibilities are endless, especially for the younger audiences. That’s why the ARTmusing Film Carnival is back to brighten up our kids’ summer with a string of eight motion pictures, unveiling fresh scripts from around the globe. From three-year-olds to teenagers, our youth will be taken through exciting adventures and heart-warming stories on the mysteries of life unfolding.

Combining live-action and animated features, this year’s ARTmusing Film Carnival offers plenty of fantasy and new adventures brought by popular characters such as the Moomins, or the old time favourite Maya the Bee. Passing on values like friendship, empathy and respect for others, some of these on-screen stories may also work as an encouragement to self-discovery. Whether based on fictional or real events, little ones and grownups alike will eventually find that problems are often simpler to solve than they might think. Even when the task seems daunting, like the one a special little bunch is set to overcome in the film Ballad from Tibet.

With gazes produced in a range of other countries, from France and the Czech Republic to Norway and Russia, this colourful display will bring us a glimpse of a world filled with new challenges, from fascinating discoveries to new situations. So, this summer, let’s look at life moving on the silver screen!

Please do arrive early at the venue, allowing everybody ample time to go through the entry protocols during these epidemic times. Let’s protect ourselves!(Guideline for Visitors
